The invention relates to a system (1) having a cover (2) for closing an access opening (3) to a charging socket (4) of an electric vehicle. According to the invention, the cover (2) is connected in a distance-variable manner by means of two congruent lever transmissions (7) to a cover carrier (8), which is movably guided by means of a sliding guide (15) on the inner side of the body part (6) having the access opening (3) and is moved by an actuator (24) through a crank (23) and a transmission (22). According to the invention, a transmission element (22) acts on the latch (17) in an articulated manner, said transmission element clamping the latch by means of a prestressing force between the cover holder (8) and the cover (2) when the cover (2) is closed, such that the cover (2) is not pressed inwards by a force exerted thereon from the outside.
