The invention provides a gate side water stopping device and a gate, the gate side water stopping device comprises water stopping rubber, a pressing transmission device and a driving device, and the water stopping rubber achieves water stopping under the abutting and pressing of the pressing transmission device; the pressing transmission device comprises a first pressing piece, a second pressing piece and a water stop pressing plate, the water stop pressing plate is in non-fixed contact with the water stop rubber, the first pressing piece is connected with the water stop pressing plate, and the second pressing piece is connected with the driving device; the second pressing piece is driven by the driving device to be in sliding fit with the first pressing piece, and the first pressing piece drives the water stop pressing plate to press the water stop rubber in the sliding pressing process of the second pressing piece. In the invention, the water-stop rubber and the water-stop pressing plate are only pressed or in a non-fixed contact relationship, so that the water-stop rubber is easily replaced abnormally, and the water-stop rubber can be quickly replaced only by adjusting the pressing force applied to the water-stop rubber by the water-stop pressing plate through the driving device.
