The transfer device comprises a box body, the rear end of the box body is open, a plurality of glass plates are placed in the box body, and the open end of the box body is provided with a suction cup assembly used for grabbing a single glass plate in the box body. The box body is provided with a driving mechanism used for driving the suction cup assembly to move towards the glass plate installation position and a turnover mechanism arranged on the box body and used for driving the suction cup assembly to turn over in the moving process. According to the transfer device for building curtain wall installation, transfer and follow-up installation can be conducted on the glass plates only through operation of one constructor, continuous installation of the multiple glass plates can be achieved through cooperation of the transfer device and an external crane, the installation efficiency is higher, and meanwhile the installation process is safer.
