The invention relates to the technical field of road sweepers, and discloses a walking system and a road sweeper, the walking system comprises: a hydraulic transmission module comprising a driving pump assembly and a hydraulic motor assembly, the driving pump assembly is connected with the hydraulic motor assembly through a hydraulic pipeline assembly to form a driving loop; and the permanent magnet synchronous motor is suitable for being powered by a battery to rotate, and the driving pump assembly is in transmission fit with the permanent magnet synchronous motor. According to the torque curve change rule of the permanent magnet synchronous motor from the rated rotating speed to the maximum rotating speed, the permanent magnet synchronous motor has the large torque at the low speed and has the small torque at the high speed; the power performance of the electric road sweeper in complex terrains and low-speed driving during climbing is improved, and the problem that an existing electric road sweeper is poor in climbing obstacle crossing capacity is effectively solved.
