According to the technical scheme, the preparation method comprises the following steps: taking 18-29wt% of porous calcium hexaluminate-magnesium aluminate spinel ceramic material particles with the particle size of 3-5mm and the micro-nano aperture and 25-35wt% of porous calcium hexaluminate-magnesium aluminate spinel ceramic material particles with the particle size of 1-2.9 mm and the micro-nano aperture as aggregates; the preparation method comprises the following steps: by taking an aggregate as a matrix, 26-38wt% of micro-nano aperture porous calcium hexaluminate-magnesium aluminate spinel ceramic material fine powder with the particle size of less than 0.088 mm, 5-15wt% of aluminum oxide fine powder, 2-15wt% of light-burned magnesite fine powder and 5-15wt% of light-burned dolomite fine powder as the matrix, firstly putting the aggregate into a stirrer, adding a magnesium chloride solution accounting for 3-10wt% of the sum of the aggregate and the matrix, mixing, then adding the matrix, stirring, and uniformly mixing to obtain a mixture; and carrying out mechanical pressing, drying, neutralizing at 1450-1700 DEG C in a nitrogen atmosphere, carrying out heat preservation, and cooling to obtain the lightweight calcium hexaluminate-magnesium aluminate spinel refractory material.
