The invention relates to the technical field of riverbed bridges, and discloses a bare rock riverbed bridge foundation hanging box cofferdam construction method which comprises an integral external mechanism, the integral external mechanism further comprises an integral bottom plate, the integral external mechanism is pulled up by means of the mass of a hanging box, mechanical kinetic energy is accumulated in the movement process of a water entry spring, and the whole bottom plate is arranged in the hanging box. When the hanging box moves downwards, a water source enters the hanging box from the integral hole, when the hanging box moves downwards and the water inlet main plate makes contact with the bottom base layer, the water inlet main plate makes contact with the water inlet top plate and moves upwards, limitation of the water inlet side spring is relieved, the water inlet side plate limits resetting of the water inlet main plate, and therefore the effect of closing the bottom valve is achieved; water cannot enter the hanging box temporarily, a stable working environment is provided for the follow-up concrete procedure, and the construction efficiency of the process is improved.
