The construction method comprises the following steps that S1, a newly-added pile foundation is constructed within an existing pile foundation range; constructing a newly-built bearing platform; s2, a pre-pouring part of the lengthened pier body is constructed; a supporting system is constructed on the newly-built bearing platform; s3, jacking force of jacking equipment is synchronously applied according to design requirements until the supporting system tightly jacks the existing bearing platform; s4, the connection between the existing pile foundation and the existing bearing platform is cut off, then the jacking force of the jacking equipment is synchronously applied, and the stress of the supporting system is relieved; s5, the supporting system and the existing pile body above the top face of the newly-built bearing platform are dismantled, and the redundant part of the existing bearing platform is cut off; and S6, steel bars are planted on the cut-off faces of the redundant parts of the existing pier body and the existing bearing platform, and the outer wrapping post-pouring part of the lengthened pier body is constructed. The existing bearing platform, the existing pile foundation, the lowered newly-built bearing platform, the newly-added pile foundation and the lengthened pier body are used for carrying out two-time stress system conversion, construction of a temporary gate-type pier is replaced, and the engineering amount and the engineering construction difficulty are reduced.
