The invention relates to an assembly type supporting module rigid connection system and a construction method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of foundation pit supporting. The supporting structure is of a circular closed structure composed of a plurality of supporting modules. Each supporting module comprises channel steel, a channel end plate, a C-shaped keel and an arc-shaped lining plate; the annular closed structure is provided with multiple layers, and each layer is provided with multiple supporting modules. The upper-layer supporting module and the lower-layer supporting module are connected together through corresponding channel steel, and the left-side supporting module and the right-side supporting module are connected together through a channel end plate. A reinforcing connecting plate is arranged on the inner side between the two supporting modules on the upper layer and the two supporting modules on the lower layer and used for connecting the four supporting modules into a whole. The defect that a traditional supporting steel lining plate is poor in structural stability is effectively overcome, and the construction speed is increased.
