The invention discloses a preparation method of a water permeable brick containing high-strength ceramsite. Belongs to the technical field of concrete. The high-strength ceramsite and the water permeable brick thereof are prepared from electrolytic manganese residues, cement, silica fume, quartz powder, bauxite, stone powder, sawdust, water and a high-efficiency water reducing agent. The preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing raw materials in a mixer for 6 hours according to the proportion of the electrolytic manganese residue sintered high-strength ceramsite (EMRC); uniformly mixed materials are mixed with water, EMRC granulation is carried out manually, and the particle size is about 5-9 mm; the EMRC raw material pellets are dried and then placed in a muffle furnace to be fired; mixing and stirring the EMRC and the raw materials used for the electrolytic manganese residue high-strength ceramsite water permeable brick (EMRPB) for 5 minutes; filling the uniformly stirred materials in layers, and performing static pressure molding; and placing the EMRPB subjected to compression molding in a natural environment for 8-12 hours, demolding, and carrying out steam curing. The preparation method provided by the invention has the advantages of good water permeability and no environmental pollution risk.
