The dust removal system comprises a dust removal device, a suction device and a self-cleaning device, the dust removal device is provided with a separation cavity, an air inlet, a filtering outlet and a self-cleaning opening, and the air inlet, the filtering outlet and the self-cleaning opening communicate with the separation cavity; an outlet of the suction device is connected with the air inlet, and the self-cleaning device is configured to be matched with the self-cleaning opening and used for self-cleaning of the dust removal device; wherein the self-cleaning device is selectively communicated with the dust removal device and the suction device, so that the self-cleaning or dust removal mode switching of the dust removal system is realized. According to the dust removal system and the dry-type road sweeper in the embodiment of the invention, dust cleaning and maintenance are carried out on the whole machine in a sucking and picking mode, and the flying dust is low; and meanwhile, the road sweeper can serve as a power source, the road sweeper can be cleaned and maintained anytime and anywhere through the self-cleaning device, convenience and rapidness are achieved, and the sucking and picking performance is better.
