The invention belongs to the field of transparent ceramic materials, and particularly relates to a compact magnesium aluminate spinel transparent ceramic and a preparation process thereof, and the preparation process comprises the following steps: dissolving MgSO4. 7H2O and AlNH4 (SO4) 2.12 H2O in water according to a molar ratio of 1: 2, roasting: firstly heating to 1000-3000 DEG C at a heating rate of 4-6 DEG C/min, then carrying out heat preservation at 1000-3000 DEG C for 2-4 hours, and cooling to obtain powder B; grinding and sieving the powder B, adding an acid solution, uniformly mixing, adding deionized water, washing, repeatedly centrifuging and washing until the pH value of supernate obtained by centrifuging is 6, and drying and calcining the obtained precipitate; uniformly mixing absolute ethyl alcohol, alumina balls and the magnesium aluminate spinel powder subjected to acid pickling according to the mass ratio of 2.5: 5: 1, and performing ball milling to obtain slurry; drying and sieving the slurry to obtain powder C; calcining the powder C, performing dry-pressing molding under the dry-pressing pressure of 15-25MPa, performing cold isostatic pressing treatment, performing pre-sintering treatment in an air atmosphere at the pre-sintering temperature of 1400-1600 DEG C, performing hot isostatic pressing treatment in an argon atmosphere, and performing double-sided polishing to obtain the compact magnesium aluminate spinel transparent ceramic.
本发明属于透明陶瓷材料领域,尤其涉及一种致密镁铝尖晶石透明陶瓷及其制备工艺,包括如下步骤:将MgSO4·7H2O和AlNH4(SO4)2·12H2O按摩尔比1:2溶解于水中,焙烧:先以升温速率为4~6℃/min升温至1000~3000℃,再在1000~3000℃下保温2~4h,冷却后得到粉体B;将粉体B碾碎,过筛,加入酸液混匀,添加去离子水进行水洗并反复离心水洗,直至离心所得的上清液的pH为6,将所得沉淀物干燥,煅烧;将无水乙醇、氧化铝球和经酸洗后的镁铝尖晶石粉体按质量比2.5:5:1混匀,球磨,得到浆料;将浆料烘干,过筛,得到粉体C;将粉体C煅烧,在干压压力为15~25MPa下干压成型,冷等静压处理,再在空气气氛中以预烧温度为1400~1600℃预烧处理后在氩气气氛中热等静压处理,双面抛光,得到致密镁铝尖晶石透明陶瓷。
