The invention discloses a suspension type steel cofferdam device for underwater pile foundation repair, which comprises a pair of steel boxes, and each steel box comprises a steel casing and an end sealing plate which are integrally formed; a sealing ring; after the packaging connecting parts of the pair of steel boxes are connected through a connecting piece, a first water storage space is formed between the outer pile casing and the inner pile casing, and a second water storage space is formed among the inner pile casing, the end sealing plate and the underwater pile foundation. The invention further discloses an underwater pile foundation repairing method. The device can suspend at a to-be-repaired part for rapid construction, is high in safety and low in manufacturing cost, and can meet the requirement for rapid repair of single pile body defects.
