The invention discloses a semi-cantilever type tower crane foundation construction method which comprises the following steps: before a foundation pit is excavated, driving a foundation pit support pile; two pairs of tower crane foundation piles are driven into the tower crane foundation design position, so that the two pairs of tower crane foundation piles are located in a foundation pit fat groove and outside a foundation pit correspondingly; erecting a top beam at the top of the foundation pit support pile; a tower crane foundation is erected on the two pairs of tower crane foundation piles, so that the tower crane foundation is supported on the top beam; the foundation pit is excavated to the designed height, and the tower crane foundation cantilever piles are formed by the pair of tower crane foundation piles located in the foundation pit fat groove; and ground hardening is conducted at the position, corresponding to the tower crane foundation cantilever pile, in the foundation pit fat groove, and the construction efficiency is improved through the half-cantilever type tower crane foundation construction method.
