The invention relates to the technical field of dampers, in particular to a metal friction damper with a self-resetting function and an anti-seismic bridge. The metal friction damper comprises two cantilevers, one ends of the two cantilevers are jointly connected with a load control rod, the other ends of the two cantilevers are rotationally connected with a rotating shaft, the left side and the right side of each cantilever are each provided with an outer connecting plate, and the outer connecting plates are slidably connected with the rotating shaft; the inner sides of the outer connecting plates are fixedly connected with metal friction curved surface outer wheels, the left side and the right side of the cantilever are each fixedly connected with a metal friction curved surface inner wheel, and the metal friction curved surface inner wheels and the metal friction curved surface outer wheels can drive the outer connecting plates to be close to or away from each other when rotating relatively. The load control rod can drive the metal friction curved surface inner wheel and the metal friction curved surface outer wheel to rotate relatively, and the outer connecting plate is connected with a spring set used for enabling the two outer plates to be close to each other. Compared with a damper in the prior art, on one hand, the overall structure is more compact, and on the other hand, the friction area is increased.
