The invention discloses a ceramic tile with a silk-like glaze effect and a preparation method thereof, the ceramic tile sequentially comprises a green body, a cover glaze layer and a transparent glaze layer from bottom to top, and zinc oxide crystal flowers are distributed between the green body and the cover glaze layer; the zinc oxide crystal flower is separated out by calcined zinc oxide particles laid on the upper surface of the green body in the firing process; the surface glaze layer is prepared from the following raw material components in percentage by weight: 45 to 50 percent of SiO2, 5 to 10 percent of Al2O3, 20 to 25 percent of ZnO, 5 to 10 percent of K2O, 3 to 5 percent of MgO, 1 to 3 percent of Na2O, 3 to 5 percent of B2O3, 0.1 to 0.5 percent of Fe2O3 and 0.2 to 0.4 percent of TiO2. The calcined zinc oxide particles are laid on the surface of the green body, and specific raw material components of the cover glaze layer are combined, so that the prepared ceramic tile is similar to silk in touch feeling and also has the color and texture of the silk visually.
