A height adjusting mechanism used for driving the square column to move up and down is arranged in an inner cavity of the cylinder, and a plurality of infrared emitters distributed at equal intervals up and down are arranged on the two side walls of the square column. According to the electronic overhauling fence for overhauling the dangerous equipment of the thermal power plant, a motor is started to enable a lead screw to rotate, and a threaded seat drives a square column to move up and down under the limiting action of a limiting block and a limiting opening, so that the height of the square column is flexibly adjusted according to the field environment and the protection requirement; and the convenience of the electronic maintenance fence is improved.
