The invention discloses a self-walking ladder for climbing operation, and relates to the technical field of ladders. The foot ladder comprises a foot ladder, sliding plates, a cross connecting piece, an elastic connecting device and a hinge connecting device, wherein the sliding plates comprise a left foot sliding plate and a right foot sliding plate; the elastic connecting device comprises an upper elastic connecting device and a lower elastic connecting device; the left foot sliding plate and the right foot sliding plate are connected through a cross connecting piece and four lower elastic connecting devices; the cross connecting piece is composed of two rod pieces which are crossed in different planes, and spring seats are welded to the two ends of each rod piece. The four lower elastic connecting devices are arranged at the four ends of the two rod pieces respectively. The foot ladders comprise a left foot ladder and a right foot ladder; the left foot ladder is arranged at the top of the left foot sliding plate. According to the novel climbing operation self-propelled ladder, stable and continuous transverse movement, longitudinal movement, steering and obstacle crossing of the ladder can be achieved under the condition that a person does not get off the ladder and does not hold a foreign object, and the problems that an existing ladder is insufficient in flexibility and poor in stability are solved.
