The invention provides a decorative plate and a preparation method and application thereof. The decorative plate comprises a ceramic substrate and a fiber composite layer arranged on the surface of the ceramic substrate. Wherein the fiber composite layer comprises a glass material and continuous fibers which are embedded in the glass material and are arranged along a preset direction; the thickness of the fiber composite layer ranges from 0.2 mm to 0.5 mm; the continuous fibers comprise at least one of glass fibers, basalt fibers, carbon fibers and silicon carbide fibers. The decorative plate can also have high strength and good anti-falling performance under the condition of ultra-thin thickness, and can give consideration to attractive appearance and mechanical properties, so that the decorative plate can be used for providing the electronic equipment with the back plate with the ceramic appearance, and the identification degree and the market competitiveness of the electronic equipment are improved.
