The invention provides a buried container type irrigation emitter which comprises a water collecting container body and a water collecting container cover for surface accumulated water to flow into the water collecting container body, the water collecting container body is buried underground, and the side wall of the water collecting container body is of a permeable side wall structure capable of permeating internal water into external soil. The side wall of the water collecting container body is obliquely arranged outwards in the direction from the underground to the ground, an opening is formed in the top of the water collecting container body, and the water collecting container cover covers the opening in the top of the water collecting container body. In order to further improve the irrigation effect, the irrigation emitter further comprises an inner container, and radial water seepage pipes are arranged on the side wall of the water collecting container body. The buried container type irrigation emitter is simple in structure, capable of storing irrigation water or rainwater, capable of rapidly meeting water requirements of middle-deep root systems and reducing ground evaporation, good in irrigation effect, uniform in wetting body and beneficial to rapid growth of plants.
