The invention discloses a carbon ramming material for blast furnace carbon brick filling and a preparation method thereof. The carbon ramming material comprises a carbonaceous raw material and environment-friendly coal tar, and the carbonaceous raw material comprises, by mass, 50-60% of flake graphite particles, 10-20% of crystalline flake graphite, 23-28% of graphite powder, 4-7% of flexible graphite and 2-5% of micron-sized aquadag; the mass of the environment-friendly coal tar is 17-19% of the total mass of the carbonaceous raw materials. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing flake graphite particles, crystalline flake graphite and graphite powder, adding into coal tar, uniformly stirring, adding flexible graphite and micron-sized aquadag, and uniformly mixing. The carbon ramming material is high in heat conductivity coefficient, good in construction performance and good in compression resilience, when stress changes to cause separation between the material and liners on the two sides to generate gaps, the material rebounds and is effectively and tightly filled in the wide gaps, and it is guaranteed that heat conduction of a blast furnace is smooth and efficient.
