The invention discloses an assembly type ductile energy dissipation joint for a reinforced concrete frame and a construction method thereof. The construction method comprises the steps that firstly, an upper prefabricated column, a lower prefabricated column and a prefabricated beam are manufactured; secondly, the lower prefabricated column is installed in place; thirdly, the upper prefabricated column is hoisted, and the upper connecting cylinder is aligned to the lower connecting cylinder; fourthly, the joint of the upper connecting cylinder and the lower connecting cylinder is connected through butt-joint slope welding; 5, welding the adapter, the upper connecting cylinder and the lower connecting cylinder into a whole; sixthly, the replaceable energy dissipation connecting pieces are hoisted, and the replaceable energy dissipation connecting pieces are connected with the adapting pieces through first high-strength bolts; and seventhly, the precast beam is hoisted, the joint connecting pieces and the replaceable energy dissipation connecting pieces are connected through second high-strength bolts, and construction is completed. The technical problems that a traditional reinforced concrete frame joint is prone to plastic damage and residual deformation, the problem of structural damage repair after an earthquake is not considered, and the advantages of a prefabricated structure are difficult to play to the maximum extent are solved.
