The invention provides a low-temperature sintered silicon carbide ceramic material and a preparation method thereof, and the silicon carbide ceramic material is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 70-90 parts of silicon carbide powder; 0.1 to 10 parts of a sintering agent; 2 to 20 parts of liquid resin; 2 to 20 parts of a binder; and 70-120 parts of water. The specific raw materials are combined with the preparation method provided by the invention, the silicon carbide can be used as a raw material under a low-temperature condition, a sintering aid and a carbon source are added, meanwhile, an organic matter is added as a binder, the silicon carbide is generated by the sintering aid and the carbon source after low-temperature sintering, and the silicon carbide ceramic not doped with other phases is prepared. The prepared silicon carbide ceramic material has excellent mechanical properties, can be applied to high-quality material scenes, can be prepared into silicon carbide ceramic filter membranes, silicon carbide ceramic parts for semiconductors and the like, and is widely applied to industries such as food, medicine and new energy.
