The invention discloses an environmental barrier coating for a SiCf/SiC ceramic matrix composite and a preparation method, the environmental barrier coating is composed of a Si bonding layer and a Yb2Si2O7 surface layer, a matrix and the Si bonding layer are in plane contact, and the Si bonding layer and the Yb2Si2O7 surface layer are in wave-shaped surface contact. The wavy structure can increase the contact area and enhance the bonding strength of the Si/Yb2Si2O7 interface, so that the deformation and damage of the structure are reduced. The middle of the Yb2Si2O7 surface layer adopts a net structure, and two ends adopt solid structures. The net-shaped structure can effectively disperse and bear external stress, excellent structural strength is provided, meanwhile, the use amount of materials is reduced, and lightweight design is achieved; the solid structures are adopted at the two ends, so that the environmental barrier coating is prevented from losing efficacy due to diffusion of a corrosive medium, and an effective surface protection effect can be provided for the SiC ceramic-based composite material. When the bonding layer and the surface layer are prepared, a plasma spray gun needs to spray according to a set path due to a wave-shaped structure at the interface, and meanwhile, a net-shaped structure is formed in the middle of the surface layer.
