The invention discloses a steel pipe column temporary fixing structure and a temporary fixing method thereof.The temporary fixing structure comprises a horizontal supporting piece used for being supported at the top end of a cup mouth bearing platform, and the horizontal supporting piece is detachably connected to the periphery of a steel pipe column; the connecting position of the horizontal supporting piece meets the condition that the bottom elevation of the steel pipe column is equal to the bottom design elevation in the state that the horizontal supporting piece is supported at the top end of the cup mouth bearing platform. The inserting rod is vertically connected to the bottom of the horizontal supporting piece; and the inserting hole is used for inserting the inserting rod, the inserting hole is formed in the top end of the cup mouth bearing platform, and by arranging the temporary fixing structure, the construction efficiency is improved.
