The invention provides an open pit coal mine side slope weak layer treatment method which comprises the steps that a foundation well is excavated downwards at the earth surface boundary of an open pit mine, and the foundation well penetrates through a weak layer of the open pit mine; arranging a plurality of reinforcing wells between the foundation well and the end slope of the strip mine, wherein the reinforcing wells penetrate through the weak layer; an inclined shaft penetrating through the foundation well and the reinforcing well is arranged in the weak layer; arranging reinforcing meshes and steel cables in the foundation well, the reinforcing well and the inclined well; and concrete is poured into the foundation well, the reinforcing well and the inclined well. The foundation well and the reinforcing well both penetrate through a weak layer of the strip mine, an inclined shaft is dug in the weak layer, the inclined shaft penetrates through the reinforcing well and the foundation well, reinforcing meshes and steel cables are erected in the reinforcing well, the foundation well and the inclined shaft to support the reinforcing well, the foundation well and the inclined shaft, then concrete is poured into the reinforcing well, the foundation well and the inclined shaft, and the reinforcing well is formed. The reinforcing well, the foundation well and the inclined well form a connected whole, a supporting effect on a weak layer is achieved, and the weak layer is not prone to instability.
