The cross-shaped steel rib column comprises a base, the base comprises a seat plate and a bottom frame, the bottom frame is arranged on the lower end face of the seat plate and fixedly connected with the seat plate, a top frame is installed on the upper end face of the seat plate and fixedly connected with the seat plate, and a side extending frame is installed on the outer side face of the top frame. The side extending frame comprises a horizontal plate, a vertical frame and a bent plate, the horizontal plate is fixedly installed on the outer side face of the base plate, and the vertical frame is fixedly installed on the upper end face of the horizontal plate. The short column structure of a section of steel structure is designed, primary pouring and fixing can be conveniently conducted during actual construction use, then overall installation and use are achieved through the seat plate, better construction operation and use are facilitated, meanwhile, the side extension frames are fixedly installed on the periphery of the top frame, and the construction efficiency is improved. In this way, after the base and the top frame are fixedly installed, it can be guaranteed that the extending steel bars are bound through the side extending frames.
