The invention belongs to the technical field of road rollers, and provides a road roller with a rotatable seat and a seat rotation control method thereof.A complete machine controller collects a control gear of an operation handle of the road roller and a rotation angle detected by an angle sensor in real time and analyzes whether the control gear is matched with the rotation angle or not; and when matching is conducted, rotation control is not conducted on the supporting table, if the collected control gear is the backward gear, the driving mechanism drives the rotating mechanism to drive the supporting table to rotate backwards by 180 degrees, and if the collected control gear is the forward gear, the driving mechanism drives the rotating mechanism to drive the supporting table to rotate reversely by 180 degrees. Through rotation of the seat, the orientation of the seat (the orientation of a driver) is always consistent with the driving direction of the road roller, and the construction safety and the operation comfort of the road roller are improved.
