The formula of the polycarboxylic acid water reducer comprises polyether, deionized water, a chain transfer agent, methacrylic acid, ferrous sulfate, ammonium persulfate, sodium persulfate, a slump retaining agent, a pH regulator, an initiator, an air entraining agent, a defoaming agent, an expanding agent and a stabilizer. The chain transfer agent is mercaptopropionic acid, and the slump retaining agent is one of vitamin C and oxalic acid; the initiator is hydrogen peroxide with a mass fraction of 35%, and the polyether adopts a polyether 2400 molecular weight monomer; by adding the slump retaining agent and the composite formula, the prepared polycarboxylate superplasticizer has high slump retaining property and comprehensive performance in different temperature environments, the doping amount is remarkably reduced, harmful bubbles in concrete can be removed by adding the defoaming agent, the compactness and strength of the concrete are improved, and the slump retaining agent and the expanding agent are added, so that the slump retaining agent has high slump retaining property and comprehensive performance in different temperature environments. The setting time of the concrete can be stabilized, the shrinkage of the concrete is compensated, and the crack resistance and compactness of the concrete are improved.
