The invention relates to the technical field of kilns, in particular to a silicon nitride/silicon carbide firing kiln and a firing method.The silicon nitride/silicon carbide firing kiln comprises a composite thermal insulation material, and the composite thermal insulation material comprises, by weight, 60-80 parts of silicon powder; 5-10 parts of silicon nitride; 10-40 parts of silicon carbide; 2-10 parts of a binding agent; 5-10 parts of a filler; 0.5-3 parts of a catalyst; 2-10 parts of a sintering aid; the filler comprises any one or more of alumina fiber, mullite fiber, zirconia fiber and carbon fiber; the binding agent is selected from any one or more of epoxy resin, phenolic resin, polyvinyl alcohol and cyclodextrin. According to the technical scheme, the fibers are selected as the filler, the fiber structure can form an interlaced network structure, a framework is formed in the composite thermal insulation material, the compactness and strength of the composite thermal insulation material are enhanced, and the service life of the kiln is prolonged.
