The invention discloses a bidirectional bending metal type intelligent self-sensing energy dissipation damper which is mainly composed of an upper connecting plate, a lower connecting plate, a partition plate, a constraint plate, a solid cylinder and trapezoidal core plates, and the trapezoidal core plates have two different sizes, are arranged in different areas and are used for meeting the requirements for different bearing capacities in different directions; movement is transmitted to the trapezoid core plates through connection and up-down connection of the solid cylinders and the partition plates, so that the trapezoid core plates generate plastic deformation, energy of the input structure is dissipated, and bidirectional energy consumption is achieved through the trapezoid core plates arranged in different directions. In addition, the functions of damper performance monitoring and damage early warning are achieved by embedding a strain sensor in the partition plate. The structure is simple and clear, machining and follow-up adjustment are easy, the bidirectional energy consumption capacity is achieved, the requirements for energy consumption in different directions can be effectively met, and intelligent operation and maintenance of the tough building can be further achieved through the intelligent self-sensing function.
