Blade positioning diagnostic system for motor grader
A diagnostic system for a motorized grader (10) having a blade (52) associated with a hitch frame-carousel-moldboard (DCM) (20), a hitch frame member (46), and a central displacement mounting member (30) includes an actuator connecting the blade to the DCM and interconnecting other components of the motorized grader. The actuator enables movement of the blade relative to the DCM and movement of the other interconnecting components relative to each other. The sensor generates a signal indicative of a current position of the blade and a position of other components of the motorized grader. An input device receives an operator input indicating a selection of a predetermined diagnostic location visually inspectable by an operator to confirm correct operation. A controller (66, 74) selectively actuates the actuator to move the blade and other components of the motorized grader to the selected diagnostic position based on the selection of the diagnostic position and the signal indicative of the current position of the blade.
