Safety helmet
The present invention relates to a safety helmet comprising a wearable helmet body for protecting a wearer's head and an adjustable strap for securing the helmet body to the wearer's head. The helmet further includes a locking device integral with the helmet body and a locking member including a tether extendable and retractable relative to the locking device, the locking device configured to selectively lock the tether within a closed structure, the locking device includes a tether that is secured to the safety helmet so as to allow the safety helmet to be securely tied to an external fixture, and the locking device further includes a spool about which the tether is wound and unwound during retraction or extension of the tether.
