The box girder reinforcing structure comprises a concrete box girder and a pier supported by the bottom of the concrete box girder, webs are symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the concrete box girder, and a plurality of sets of carbon fiber plates are symmetrically arranged on the webs; filling layers are symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the pier, steel plates are arranged on the outer sides of the filling layers, a plurality of anchor rods are arranged on the outer sides of the steel plates and penetrate through the steel plates and the filling layers to extend into the pier, triangular steel brackets are arranged on the outer sides of the steel plates, and inclined struts are arranged between the triangular steel brackets and the carbon fiber plates. The box girder reinforcing method comprises the following steps that firstly, the triangular steel brackets and the carbon fiber plates are installed; and 2, inclined struts are installed. According to the box girder reinforcing structure, the filling layer and the inclined struts are arranged, so that the strength of the bridge pier and the torsion resistance and overturning resistance of the box girder are improved.
