The invention relates to a long and thin anti-collision guardrail extending along a road lane. The present invention relates to a road barrier having a plurality of vertically spaced elongated retention members, such as strips extending parallel to a lane, to help retain vehicles erroneously passing the retention members from the road. The crash barrier also has a plurality of retainers that are constrained to the retaining member but are slidable along the retaining member with a wrong vehicle.
