The invention relates to the field of purple sand vessel decoration, in particular to a preparation process of drained mud purple sand. Comprising the following steps: (1) drawing: drawing on a purple clay vessel with the moisture content of 10-15% by using a pencil, and drawing a required pattern; (2) line erecting: after draft drawing is completed, line erecting is started, a mud draining slurry material used for line erecting is purple grit mud, and line erecting is conducted through a powder draining gun and a gun head of a gluing gun; (3) finishing: carrying out secondary repair to keep the completeness of the pattern; (4) polishing: naturally drying in the shade, then drying, and locally polishing after completely drying; (5) firing in a kiln; and (6) painting decoration: painting on the pattern after drawing, filling color according to the outline of the pattern by adopting acrylic paint, and painting in the vertical line. The product obtained by the preparation process of the drained mud purple sand is integrally bulky and stereoscopic, strong in color contrast, lifelike, wide in style and more flexible in expression technique, provides a new thought for purple sand decoration, and has profound significance.
