VEHICLE POWER SUPPLY DEVICE AND DOOR LATCH DEVICE
A vehicle power supply device (1) is provided with: a backup power supply (6) to which power is supplied from an in-vehicle battery (3); a step-up unit (20) that steps up the voltage of the backup power supply (6) to a predetermined step-up voltage (Vb); a motor drive unit (7) that is connected to the battery (3) and the step-up unit (20), and that can drive the electric motor (2) by supplying power from either the battery (3) or the step-up unit (20); a first switch unit (60) that turns on/off power supply between the battery (3) and the motor drive unit (7); a control unit (8) that controls the first switch unit (60); and a second switch unit (70) which is provided between the step-up unit (20) and the first switch unit (60) and which turns off the first switch unit (60) when the voltage output from the step-up unit (20) is equal to or greater than a predetermined step-up voltage (Vb).
