The invention discloses an offshore shield tunnel water taking facility and a construction method thereof, the water taking facility comprises a water taking main body structure and a steel cylinder, the water taking main body structure comprises a water taking well and is arranged in the steel cylinder, and the steel cylinder is inserted into a seabed; the steel cylinder is provided with a water taking window and a tunnel connector, and a tunnel is connected into the water taking main body structure through the tunnel connector. The water intake window is communicated with the water intake well, and the water intake well is communicated with the tunnel; a water intake gate is arranged between the water intake well and the water intake window, and a tunnel gate is arranged between the water intake well and the tunnel. The steel cylinder is fixed firstly, then the water taking main body structure is constructed, the tunnel cylinder connector is formed, and finally the water taking window is formed. In this way, offshore dry construction conditions can be provided, cofferdams and steel cylinders do not need to be additionally constructed to serve as permanent structures, one object has two purposes, dismantling is not needed after construction is completed, the construction period can be shortened, and the influence of construction on the environment is reduced; and through the water intake gate and the tunnel gate, the dry overhaul of the tunnel and the dry overhaul of the water intake facility can be realized.
