The invention relates to a switch rail lifting type railway turnout, which is characterized in that the turnout is guided by ascending and descending two switch rails which are not connected with each other. In order to tightly attach the tip of the switch rail to the stock rail, the two are connected by a connecting rod. In order to prevent the heel end of the switch rail from moving, two clamping plates are arranged on the fixed guide rail for clamping. When the railway turnout is used, as the turnout comprises two switch rails which are not connected with each other, a locomotive is guided to pass through only by ascending and descending within a range of several centimeters, and the turnout basically has no fault. The turnout is not influenced by weather and can be normally lifted up and down. When the turnout is used, oil brushing, cleaning and maintenance are not needed.
