A protective element made of an integral piece for a wear element of an earthmoving machine, comprising: a first protective portion (2); a second protective portion (3) arranged opposite the first protective portion (2); and two side protection portions 5 (4) wherein at least one or both of the side protection portions (4) comprise an inner projection (5). It allows providing a protective element for protecting the entire front outer edge of a wear element of an earthmoving machine, in particular a protective element for protecting a connection portion of an adapter of an earthmoving machine.
