The invention discloses an active variable-frequency damping device, a floating type foundation and an adjusting method.The active variable-frequency damping device comprises a friction pendulum assembly, a counterweight assembly and a driving part, the friction pendulum assembly is provided with a first part and a second part, and the first part and the second part are arranged on the friction pendulum assembly; the second component abuts against the first component, and the second component can periodically swing on the first component. The counterweight assembly is provided with a cavity, the counterweight assembly is connected with the second part, and at least a part of section of the counterweight assembly is located below the liquid level; the driving component is communicated with the cavity, and the driving component is used for pumping a medium into the cavity or pumping the medium out of the cavity. According to the active variable frequency damping device, the swing frequency can be actively adjusted, broadband control is achieved, and therefore the active variable frequency damping device can cope with complex external environment conditions.
