The invention discloses a digital auxiliary restoration method for an ancient building, relates to the technical field of ancient building restoration, and provides the following scheme: obtaining point cloud data, establishing a point cloud model, optimizing the point cloud model, and printing the model. According to the method, a three-dimensional scanner and an industrial camera are used for scanning and photographing a damaged ancient building to obtain three-dimensional point cloud data of the ancient building, data for establishing a three-dimensional model is obtained by carrying out preprocessing of data registration, data denoising, data simplification and data segmentation on the point cloud data, the three-dimensional model is optimized, and the accuracy of the three-dimensional model is improved. A mold for the damaged position of the ancient building is obtained through the 3D printer, or a workpiece made of wood or brick-concrete materials is obtained by conducting mold reversing through the mold according to needs, and therefore the damaged area of the ancient building can be repaired in a high-precision mode.
