The method comprises the following steps that a guide frame is arranged; inserting and driving positioning steel pipe piles; carrying out rotary drilling slotting guide hole auxiliary construction; inserting and driving the steel pipe piles to the designed elevation; excavating a foundation pit and pouring bottom sealing concrete; constructing a first-layer bearing platform and a ring beam; constructing a second-layer bearing platform; and the other inner supporting systems are dismantled, the combined steel pipe piles are pulled out, and cofferdam construction is completed. According to the construction method of the overwater bridge main pier bearing platform, the foundation pit supporting scheme that the steel pipe piles and the enclosing purlins are used for supporting is adopted in the cofferdam, the method is suitable for a large deepwater foundation, and the waterproof performance, stability and mechanical indexes of the cofferdam all meet the standard requirements. Compared with a steel sheet pile cofferdam, the application condition is wider, and the structural form is safer; the construction process is simple, the construction efficiency is high, and materials can be recycled.
