Production method of cement substitute
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a cement substitute, comprising the following steps: a) mixing a basic aluminosilicate-containing material with at least one aluminosilicate hydrate-containing material, b) heating the mixture thus obtained to a calcination temperature of less than 800 DEG C, thereby forming a calcined product, the calcined product includes a reactive amorphous phase having alkali metal ions incorporated therein. The method may further include the step of cooling the calcined product to a desired temperature. The invention also relates to a cement substitute obtainable by the method according to the invention. The cement substitute comprises a reactive amorphous phase of a co-calcined alkali metal aluminosilicate-containing material and an aluminosilicate hydrate-containing material having alkali metal ions bound therein. The alkali metal ion is preferably a sodium ion. The invention also relates to a cement composition containing the cement substitute according to the invention and to a mortar or concrete composition containing such a cement composition.
