The invention discloses an intercepting well for preventing a large amount of rainwater from entering a sewage intercepting system in the technical field of drainage systems. The intercepting well comprises a well body, and the well body is provided with a containing cavity with an opening in the top. The water inlet pipe, the overflow pipe and the sewage intercepting pipe are communicated with the containing cavity, the sewage intercepting pipe comprises a transverse pipe part and a vertical pipe part, and the transverse pipe part is lower than the overflow pipe and the water inlet pipe; the vertical pipe part is vertically arranged in the containing cavity and communicates with the transverse pipe part. The guide rod is fixedly arranged in the containing cavity in the vertical direction; the lifting baffle is located under the vertical pipe part and is in sliding connection with the guide rod; the bottom end of the connecting rod is fixedly connected with the lifting baffle; the floating ball is arranged around the vertical pipe part and is fixedly connected with the top end of the connecting rod. According to the intercepting well, opening and closing of the water inlet of the sewage intercepting pipe are automatically controlled through buoyancy, drainage of dry flow sewage in sunny days and drainage of sewage and initial rainwater in the initial stage of rainfall can be met, rainwater can be prevented from entering the sewage intercepting pipe after the rainfall capacity is gradually increased, and therefore the sewage treatment efficiency of a sewage treatment plant is guaranteed.
