The invention relates to a silicon carbide ceramic and a preparation method and application thereof, the preparation method of the silicon carbide ceramic comprises the following steps: (1) uniformly mixing silicon carbide particles, a sintering aid and an adhesive, and molding the obtained pug to obtain a silicon carbide biscuit; and (2) coating the silicon carbide biscuit obtained in the step (1) with silicon carbide slurry, and sintering to obtain the silicon carbide ceramic, the silicon carbide slurry in the step (2) is obtained by mixing two kinds of silicon carbide particles with different average particle sizes with a solvent. The surface of the silicon carbide biscuit is coated with the silicon carbide coating, so that volatilization of a sintering aid in the sintering process can be effectively inhibited, the compactness, strength and surface purity of the silicon carbide ceramic are remarkably improved, and the requirement of the silicon carbide ceramic as a high-precision industrial material can be met.
本发明涉及一种碳化硅陶瓷及其制备方法与应用，所述碳化硅陶瓷的制备方法包括如下步骤：(1)均匀混合碳化硅颗粒、烧结助剂以及粘合剂，所得泥料经过成型，得到碳化硅素坯；(2)采用碳化硅浆料将步骤(1)所得碳化硅素坯进行包覆，然后经过烧结，得到所述碳化硅陶瓷；步骤(2)所述碳化硅浆料为两种不同平均粒径的碳化硅颗粒与溶剂混合后得到。本发明通过将碳化硅素坯表面包覆碳化硅涂层，可以有效抑制烧结过程中烧结助剂的挥发，显著提高碳化硅陶瓷的致密性、强度以及表面纯度，能够满足作为高精度行业用材的要求。
