The invention discloses a construction process for constructing a lock catch steel pipe pile cofferdam on a steep slope hard rock riverbed, relates to the technical field of bridge construction, and aims to solve the problem that an existing steel pipe pile cofferdam for a complex terrain is difficult to construct. The front layer, the rear layer, the upper layer and the lower layer serve as guide frames; the position of the steel pipe pile is divided into four areas, each area is constructed in sequence, after the lock catch steel pipe in each area is driven, the platform supporting steel pipe and the pile foundation pile casing are reinforced to be in parallel connection, and then the platform panel is restored. In order to solve the problem that lock catch steel pipe piles adopted in weathered riverbed geology in an inclined rock surface of a deep water shallow covering layer cannot be inserted into or are difficult to be inserted into a rock stratum, a hole guiding mode combining a down-the-hole drill and a rotary drilling drill is innovatively adopted, a reinforcement cage is lowered, concrete is poured to form piles, ring beams and angle braces are arranged, and then the safety and stability of an operation space of an operator are guaranteed.
