The invention discloses a press-in type foundation pit supporting structure utilizing the soil arching effect and a construction method thereof.The supporting structure comprises a plurality of profile steel stand columns which are vertically pressed into a soil body at the foundation pit supporting position, the lower ends of the profile steel stand columns are located in a solid soil layer below the bottom of a foundation pit, and a vertical cantilever structure is formed; the profile steel stand columns are transversely arranged at intervals along the soil body. An arch-shaped steel plate with the arch facing the outer direction of the foundation pit is pressed into the soil body between every two profile steel stand columns; the arch-shaped support is arranged in the arch-shaped steel plate and supports the arch-shaped steel plate to keep an arch shape; a foundation pit supporting structure is defined by the profile steel stand columns and the arched steel plates, and soil pressure on the back of the upper supporting structure is maintained through resistance moment of a soil layer below the bottom of a foundation pit to the profile steel stand columns. According to the supporting mode, the soil arching effect characteristic in the soil body is utilized, and the supporting mode has the advantages of being high in construction efficiency, low in cost, good in safety and small in environmental pollution.
