The invention discloses a side wall steel formwork connecting structure and a construction method thereof.The side wall steel formwork connecting structure comprises an embedded part and a connecting assembly, the two ends of the embedded part are bent downwards to be in a U shape, and the opening end of the embedded part is used for being embedded in concrete; the connecting assembly comprises a connecting rod and a nut assembly, one end of the connecting rod slides along the axis of the embedded part and is installed in the middle of the embedded part in the mode of axially rotating around the embedded part, external threads are arranged on the periphery of the connecting rod, and the connecting rod is used for being arranged in a tripod cross beam through hole of the steel formwork in a penetrating mode. When the connecting rod is arranged on a tripod cross beam of the steel formwork in a penetrating mode, the nut assembly is in threaded fit with the connecting rod so as to fix the steel formwork. The angle and the position of the connecting rod can be adjusted according to actual conditions, and connection of the steel formwork and the connecting rod in the later period is facilitated.
