The invention discloses a preparation method of a diatomite composite material and a hot bending glass mold, the preparation method comprises the following steps: selecting and grading original diatomite to obtain first diatomite and second diatomite; crushing and homogenizing the first diatomite and the second diatomite to obtain a first diatom material and a second diatom material; mixing the first diatom material, the second diatom material and the basic oxide according to a preset proportion to obtain a first intermediate product; carrying out dry mixing, water injection, mixing, binding agent addition and rolling on the first intermediate product to obtain pug; ageing and pressing the pug to obtain a green brick; drying the green brick to obtain a second intermediate product; and sintering and cooling the second intermediate product to obtain the diatomite composite material. According to the embodiment of the invention, the graphite material adopted by the mold is replaced by the diatomite composite material with good thermal stability, so that the problem that the appearance of the glass is affected due to the fact that the hot bending glass mold is easy to oxidize at high temperature is solved.
