The invention relates to an outer handle module (3, 30) for a vehicle door (2) and/or a flap (4), at least comprising an outer handle (5) which is fixed during normal operation, and a multiple and reversibly operable emergency unlocking mechanism (7) which is coupled to the outer handle (5) for manually unlocking and/or opening a lock of the vehicle door (2) and/or the flap (4), the emergency unlocking mechanism (7) comprises at least one locking element (7.2. 2) having a plurality of locking portions (7.2. 3) which can be separated from each other by moving the outer handle (5) relative to the door (2) and/or the flap (4), the emergency unlocking mechanism (7) being actuatable when one of the locking portions (7.2. 3) is opened.
